In three shows this stallion placed in both Barrel Racing and Team roping (heading) at the 2006 AQHA Show in Denver and finished his points at the AQHA Show in Rapid City. Thanks to Kelly Conrodo heading on Junior Blue, and Lexi Bath running him in the barrel race, he was able to place in 2 events at the AQHA show in Denver helping him earn his ROM in performance which he finished in Rapid City at the AQHA show the end of January with yet another jockey Tim Bath. Junior is also a National Champion and saddle winner in the NBSA in Seniors 2D. Peg Bath won the National Championship on Junior in the NBHA. It just shows that Junior is an all around performance horse that anyone can ride and get along with. Won 2nd on him at the Wyoming State Fair PRCA rodeo in the barrel race, won 3rd at Rawlins (amateur) rodeo and placed at Steamboat Springs, CO, PRCA all in 2 weeks.

"Junior" will carry on the legacy of Pa Jones here at Bath Performance Horses. Pa Jones was known for his versatility, siring Champion Calf Roping horses, Barrel Horses and Race Horses. Junior carries on the Pa Jones tradition of athletic ability and a great disposition.

The history of Pa Jones Horses

TM Jones, from Dill City, OK knew a good horse. He not only knew a good horse, he knew a fast horse. You see, TM worked for Bud Warren in his stud barn. He saw and handled Croton Oil, Leo and Jet Deck. He owned Sugaree Bars, a daughter of Sugar Bars. Sugaree Bars was an AQHA Champion running horse. He bred Sugaree Bars to Jet Deck and that cross produced Pa Jones. Jet Deck was the 1963 AQHA World Champion Running Horse. Sugar Bars was also bred to Randle's Lady who had a ROM. Randle's Lady was a producer of Rosa Leo, South Pacific and Croton Oil.

Dixie Pring's Pa Jones horses were incredible. So we purchased our first Pa Jones horse, a mare named Ivanna Jones along with her half brother, Sooner Jones. We met TM and his wife Minnie on their farm in Oklahoma. He as so full of knowledge about horses in general and was happy that a 'cowboy' from Wyoming liked his horses. And that was the beginning of our Pa Jones horses.

Pa Jones also sired some World Champion cutting horses, one was Rattlesnake Jones!
